School board seat up for election in May
One seat on the Harpursville
Central School District Board of Education will be up for election on May 19,
2020. The one seat, currently occupied
by Michael Rhodes, whose five-year term ends June 30, 2020 is a five-year
position. Please consider attending a
free public workshop on March 18 offered through BT BOCES for prospective board members. Contract the district clerk to reserve your seat at 693-8112.
You must meet certain basic qualifications to run for
school board in New York State. You must be:
-A U.S. citizen
-At least 18 years old
-A qualified voter in the school
district
-Able to read and write
-A resident of your district
continuously for one year before the election.
