School Lunch: Non-Payment for Full or Reduced Price Meals Charged by Students
Students that receive full or reduced price meals are allowed to charge meals up to a $6.00 limit. Parents/guardians are notified on a weekly basis via a written notice, e-mail, and/or phone call of a student with a low or minus balance in their account.
Students that have charged meals with a $6.00 balance owed are no longer provided with a regular school meal. The School District will provide such students with either a cheese or peanut butter sandwich and juice or milk until the account is paid so a student is not going without a meal. Dietary restrictions are taken into consideration when providing this substitute meal.
