To vote in our school election, you must be: 1 – a citzen of the US   2 – 18 years or older on the date of election  3 – A resident of the school district for at least 30 days prior to election day  

To vote by absentee ballot: call the District Clerk at 607-693-8112 to schedule an appointment or to have an absentee ballot application mailed.  Any district voter may apply to vote by Early Mail.  Please call the District Clerk at the number above for arrangment.  Applications to vote absentee or early mail must be received 7 days before election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter or the day before the election if the ballot is to be issued to the voter in person.  Absentee and Early Mail ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5 PM on the date of election.  

All permenantly disabled voters will be mailed their absentee ballot providing their name was submitted to the District Clerk through the Broome or Chenango County Board of Elections. Do not hesitate to call the District Clerk with any questions.

Three (3) seats on the Harpursville Central School District Board of Education will be up for election on May 19, 2026.  There is:

• One five-year term currently held by Michelle Noyes ending June 30, 2026. The new term will run July 1, 2026-June 30, 2031.

• One five-year term currently held by Tom Fargo ending June 30, 2026. The new term will run July 1, 2026-June 30, 2031.
• One five-year term formerly held by Bernie Scott currently filled by Kelly Nabinger ending June 30, 2026. This two year term will run July 1, 2026 -June 30, 2028

Effective January 7, 2026 the Board of Education appointed Kelly Nabinger to fill the seat vacated by Bernie Scott (November 2025), through June 30, 2026.  This board seat will be up for election at the May 2026 budget vote with two years are left in the term of this five-year seat.  Stay tuned for an upcoming budget newsletter highlighting all Board of Education candidates up for election.  Please join us in welcoming Kelly to the Harpursville Central School District Board of Education!  

The Harpursville Central School District Board of Education Policy Committee meets January 7, 2026 at 4:30 PM in Jr. Sr. High School Room 101.  

The December 10, 2025 Board of Education meeting has been canceled due to inclement weather.  Next meeting will be January 7, 2026.  

The Board of Education Policy Committee will hold their next meeting on March 11, 2026 at 5 PM in the Jr. Sr. High School District Office Conference Room.
