A Letter to Seniors and their Parents from Class Advisor Mrs. Whaley

5/11/2020

Dear Seniors and Parents/ Guardians,

I am writing this letter to share some unfortunate news. As most of you have probably figured out, we will not be able to attend the Senior Trip this year. It saddens me to share this information with you, as this is my favorite part of being an advisor.

It sucks. There’s no real better way to describe it. Luckily, the Harpursville School and community care a whole lot about you guys and are doing their best to make your Senior year go out with a bang the best they can. Stay tuned for more ways we are going to honor you. I’m sure you are wondering about graduation. Unfortunately, I don’t have any information about it as it is kind of out of our control right now. I am hopeful that we will be able to gather to celebrate you in June!

In the meantime, Zoom with your classmates, talk to them often. Plan events for when this madness is all over. Embrace the ability to spend lots of quality time with your family. Just because you can’t physically interact, doesn’t mean you can’t virtually!

For those of you who were planning on going on the Senior Trip, you will be receiving a full refund of what you have paid so far in the near future. I will send more information when I have it.

I miss you all and hang in there, the best you can. Remember, you did it!!!
