STAKEHOLDER INPUT ON USE OF FEDERAL GRANTS FUNDS NEEDED
STAKEHOLDER INPUT ON USE OF FEDERAL GRANTS FUNDS NEEDED
As we prepare for the next school year in the Harpursville Central School District, we are seeking public input on the development of our plan for the use of the federal funds awarded to our school district to support and sustain the safe, full reopening and operation of our schools.  As you may know, federal grant funds for the district have been awarded from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRSSA) and the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) fund to help schools address the impacts of COVID-19.   A summary of what ARP ESSER means for schools can be found here.. Federal stimulus funds that have been made available must be obligated by September 30, 2024 and we have been tasked with creating a broad outline of how the district will invest funds and must have the application submitted by June 15, 2021.  You will notice just how tight the turnaround time is with this; the information has been emerging on this topic over the past several weeks.
