Dear Harpursville School Community,
At the November 22, 2022 Special Board Meeting, the Harpursville Central School District Board of Education appointed Mr. Allen Buyck as Interim Harpursville Superintendent. Mr. Buyck will serve as interim from February 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022 while the district conducts its search for the next Harpursville Superintendent of Schools.
The school board is seeking input from the school community to identify the qualities and traits you are seeking in the next Superintendent of Schools. A ThoughtExchange survey link is now live on the school webpage. We hope that you will take a few moments to participate. The survey will be open from November 28th – December 7th. Results will be reviewed at the December 14th board meeting and will be incorporated into the brochure advertising the position. The superintendent search will open on January 3, 2023 and will close February 10, 2023. Mrs. Stone, the Broome-Tioga District Superintendent, will be working with bargaining units to create stakeholder interview committees which will take place during the month of March.
