THANK YOU, SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS!
THANK YOU, SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS!

October 17-21 is School Board Recognition Week as declared by the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA). This is a time to promote awareness and understanding of the important work performed by school board members.  The Harpursville Central School District joins all public schools across the state to honor local board members for their commitment to our schools.

“Public schools form the bedrock of our communities and our country. It takes strong schools to build a strong community.  The school board makes tough decisions every month.  They’ve worked to develop a shared vision and goals for the district.   They work with administration to secure resources, policies and programs to align with district goals and student achievement.” – NYSSBA

We are very grateful to our past and present school board members for their commitment to the Harpursville Central School District!  Our current school board members and the number of years they have been volunteering for our schools are: Mrs. Anderson – 10 years, Mr. Weist – 8 years, Mr. Rhodes - 7 years, Mrs. Noyes – 6 years, Mr. Dattoria – 5 years, Mrs. Huston – 2 years and Mrs. Robertson is our newest trustee.

Special thanks to our National Art Honor Society led by Ms. Brenda Keeler and Ms. Ann McDonald, who will provide each board member with a special gift at the October Board of Education meeting in support of School Board Recognition Week!
