Board of Education Updates - School Board Vacancies - May 2022 Election Information

Thinking about becoming a school board member?  
To qualify to become a school board member, one must: be a US Citizen; be at least 18 years of age; be a qualified voter in the school district; be able to read and write; and be a resident of your district continuously for one year before the election.   New York State School Boards Association provides free information at NYSSBA.org. 
 
School board seats up for election on May 17, 2022
Two seats on the Harpursville Central School District Board of Education will be up for election on May 17, 2022:  A five-year term beginning July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2027, for the seat currently occupied by Kacie Huston; and an unexpired, two-year term for Michael Bennett, currently filled by Nicole Robertson (effective 3/25/2022-5/17/2022). beginning on July 1, 2022 and ending on June 30, 2024.  Annual Meeting Notice
 
Election Information
The school budget and board member election will be held on May 17, 2022 in the  W.A. Olmsted Elementary New Gym from 1:30-8:00 PM. To vote: you must be a US Citizen; 18 years of age or older on the date of the vote; a resident of the school district for at least 30 days prior to vote. Annual Meeting Notice
