On behalf of the Social Studies Department, we will be highlighting students each day who have been
recognized as Rising Citizens. They embraced civic activism in their Middle School Capstone projects!

Jayden Deleon - Americans waste too much food. He created an infographic and posted it around the school
to encourage people to change the way they handle/use food.

Abbygayl Baburchak and Adriana Hartman- American land is polluted with trash and chemicals. They created
social media accounts with their parents to educate people about the impact of not properly disposing of your
trash. They also set up a virtual clean-up day where people posted pictures of the trash they collected on a
chosen piece of property.
