Congratulations to all Olmsted Staff and Students for their roles in the recent video that Mrs. Dietrich submitted for the NYS APHERD contest, Get Moving NY, as they are the Regional Winners!
The video, directed by Mrs. Dietrich, with a little help from her friends in the Olmsted Elementary, was a huge success and shows our staff and students moving with purpose and demonstrate quality physical education programming. As winners of this Regional contest our Physical Education program will receive $1000 in equipment. Also, our video will be entered into a Statewide contest for a chance to win additional equipment. Mrs. Dietrich is the current President of the Central South Zone (CSZ) for the New York State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD). She has worked with the association for many years in various capacities and always brings new and exciting ideas into the district for our staff and students from across the regional and state. We are excited for her to move into this new position and look forward to many more opportunities for our staff and students to grow through her interactions as the CSZ President.
