Harpursville’s Miranda Drummond was recently named co-player of the year in Class C
by the New York State Sportswriters Association. She was also named first team all-state.Joining her in top state honors, Coach Kurt Ehrensbeck was selected Section IV Class C Girls Basketball Coach of the Year by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York. Drummond, who shared Class C honors with Section 6 standout Mckenna Maycock, led the Lady Hornets to three Section 4 titles and two state final four appearances. She concluded her high school career with 1,930 points, averaging 26.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 4 assists per game this season. She plans to continue her basketball career this fall at St. Bonaventure University. Drummond’s teammate, Shelby Medovich, earned third team all-star honors in Class C.
