The Harpursville Central School utilizes the Online Application System for Educators (OLAS), a cloud-based application serving school districts throughout New York State. Districts can view applicant specific information: resumes, cover letters, transcripts, portfolios, and more. Candidates are able to apply to specific positions using one application and/or have an option of granting all participating school districts access to their application.




Full-time position in the Harpursville Jr. Sr. High School Health Office for a Registered Nurse beginning September 2018.   Salary based on licensure, years of experience and bargaining unit contract.  Interested parties please send cover letter, resume and application to:  Mr. Michael J. Secondary Special Education Teacher - Anticipated Vacancy

Valid NYS certification is required.  Salary as contained in the Harpursville Teacher's Association contract. Substitute RN School Nurse

Hours: 8 hours/day

Effective date of assignment: upon Board of Education approval


Be available to cover a building/district in the absence of a regular nurse.

Administer annual screening procedures for all pupils as needed.

Assist school physician with routine medical examinations and with special examinations as needed.

Administer first aid care in case of emergencies.


Possession of the license at the time of appointment.

Varsity Head Football Coach  

Applicant must have strong communication and organizational skills resulting in high levels of success both academically and athletically for a multiple district, merged team environment.  Previous experience as a head coach is preferred, but not a requirement.  Ability to work collaboratively on behalf of student–athletes, parents, staff and community throughout the program is a necessity.  This position requires “student-athletes first” attitude.   

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Professionally represents the district and its programs through positive interactions with the community, teaching / coaching staff, players, parents and associated media

  • Maintaining adequate practice plans that reflect safety and skill attainment for all program levels

  • Will adhere to financial policies of the district as well as maintain necessary records pertinent to the football program set forth by the district in a timely and professional manner

  • Staff utilization and organization throughout the district’s program

  • Working collaboratively with buildings and grounds staff to ensure that facilities and grounds are safe for participants

  • Ensuring Harpursville Code of Conduct is understood by players, parents, and coaches within the program

  • Will enforce all respective district polices and work cooperatively with administration in doing so

  • Will be an enthusiastic student- athlete advocate that supports sportsmanship and the mission / vision of the district at all times

  • Attends all required Sectional and League meetings pertaining to football program to ensure all rules, laws and regulations are followed throughout various levels of the program

  • Work with nursing and athletic training staff to ensure that all student injuries are appropriately addressed and treated, while maintaining appropriate documentation and confidentiality

  • Routinely communicates program accountability measures with appropriate media sources and administration


NYS Coaching or Teaching certification is required along with current CPR, First Aid, and Concussion Prevention
