____            Congrats on completing Earth's History Topic!_____________

Your learning target for this week is to interpret the various charts and graphs in the Reference Tables and apply those interpretations in a meaningful way.  Learning to do this will help you greatly as you approach your next year's science course.

4/27:  This week will be a bit of review from the whole year using the Earth Science Reference Tables.  This is an assessment and will be graded.  Simply click the link and get started.   (you may need to leave to document open on your computer or device to continue the following day) https://forms.gle/5SYNZPabH6XXdsYp6

5/4:  It's time for the END OF THE YEAR PROJECT!! YAY.  Basically, you will make a Brochure of a city in NYS that you would like to go to on vacation.  You can get creative here.  Some kids in the past have used Microsoft Publisher, made a poster instead, or created a hand made Brochure.  Hereis a link to the directions and ruberic.  If you have any questions just ask me!  Today, just read it over and pick a city in NYS!!

Here is a sample finished product by Madison Flemming! (She used Microsoft Publisher to do this)    https://filecabinet4.eschoolview.com/D92DFCD2-159B-47BA-879D-B3934E0BC57B/EarthScienceEndofYearProject2.0.pdf

5/5: Make sure you picked a good city in NYS and for today, do some research on your city, pick a method of presentation like computerized brochure, poster, hand made brochure, or get creative.  Now find the answers to step 1 and 2 on the instructions/ruberic.

5/6:  Spend some time on the google and complete step 3.  Topo maps can be tough to find so look for a good one.

5/7: Step 4 and 5 of the project today.  The climate part can be in graph or chart form.  NOAA, weather.gov, weatherunderground, and accuweather might help you with this.

5/8:Use your ESRT to find the answers to parts 6-9.

5/11: Research parts 10-11.

5/12:  Use the DEC website or the google to find the drainage basin of your city.  This is part 12

5/13:  Complete the remainder of the research for your project.  (Parts 13-15)

5/14: Put all your research into an awesome format like a Computerized Brochure using Microsoft Publisher or a google app etc.  Alternatively, you could do a poster or a hand written Brochure or you can get creative!

5/15: You might need a second day to put all that together and send it to your favorite Earth Science teacher.  This is that day!  Send your completed project to me in an email or a pic on remind.  Just make sure I can see all the important parts.

5/18: Congrats on completing your end of the year project.  It counts 2x so good thing you did such a great job!  But....just in case....I am giving you today and tomorrow to complete and submit the project.

5/19:Submit that stinkin project!!!!! NOW!!!!

5/20:EdpuzzleAstronomy review video #1

5/21: EdPuzzleAstronomy reivew video #2

5/22:Ask me at least one question about astronomy on remind.  Do this today.  Then, check out the astronomy reivew kahoot and the interactive astronomy questions below.

5/25:Meterology reivew this week--Check out Edpuzzlevideo #1 on meterology.

5/26:Meterology Edpuzzlevideo #2

5/27:Prepare at leastone question on meterology or astronomy to ask and discuss on ZOOMfor tomorrow.  I will look forward to talking with you each about your questions.  I will count it for your engagement grade!!

5/28:Ask your questions on zoom today.  Also, check out the reivew weather-air masses and fronts kahoot below.

5/29: Check out the other kahoot on weather and the interactive regents questions on weather below.

6/1:  This is the key concepts worksheet https://filecabinet4.eschoolview.com/D92DFCD2-159B-47BA-879D-B3934E0BC57B/keyconcepts.pdf  You can just click it and it will bring you to a .Pdf that has all the key info you should know for this year.  For each day this week, I want you to choose 1 page on either astronomy or weather and complete it.  You can print it and send me a pic of it or you can just write the answers on a seperate sheet of paper and send me a pic of it.

**If you choose to do any extra pages, I will give you extra credit for each extra page completed in the form of added points on anything less than a "4" in the gradebook thus far.  :)

6/2:  Do a 2nd page from the key concepts worksheet on either astronomy or weather.  Extra credit for doing more!

6/3: Do a 3rd page from the key concepts worksheet on either astronomy or weather. Extra credit for doing more!

6/4: Do a 4th page from the key concepts worksheet on either astronomy or weather.  Extra credit for doing more!

6/5: Do a 5th page from the key concepts worksheet on either astronomy or weather.  Extra credit for doing more!

6/8-12:  Watch 10 minutes of the FINAL EdPuzzle Video each day until it is complete!  You may need to use come of your considerable resources to answer some of the questions.  This video is not like others you have done.  It is real-life application of your Earth Science knowledge!  It is actually pretty cool!!  Since I need to put in final grades, this does need to be completed by 6/12.

**No regents exam.  You cannot get lower than a 65 in the 3rd quarter.  4th quarter grades will count so just do your work and attend zoom classes.  Any questions ask me on remind.  Click on "Click here" on the red banner on the school's website for constant updates!
